Our Vacation Photos

How to use Vacation-Photos.us

This photo sharing tool was commissioned by Brian and Ellen Kenison for the Rick Steves' travel group to share their photos with each other. Anyone who has been granted access to this site should have received an email with a registration link which is required to securely access this site. If you have not received this link, email us and we'll get one sent out to you.

Once registered, you can log in from anywhere to view and upload photos from your trip. To upload photos to the site, go to the Upload page (there's a button on the homepage as well as in the main navigation at the top of all other pages). From here, you can either drag and drop or click "Add Photos" to upload images from your computer to the website. Large files may take a while to upload, so be patient. If you have any trouble uploading files, try smaller sets first, especially if you're on a slower internet connection.

All photos uploaded to the site are flagged as yours. Trust the other people on the site, they won't share your stuff with others that aren't given access. On the Photos page, you can see all photos, filter just your own photos or see uploads by any of the other registered users who have uploaded anything.

Uploading your Photos

  1. Go to the Upload page
  2. Click "+Add Files"
  3. Select the photos you wish to upload from your computer
  4. Click Ok and the files will immediately begin uploading

After an image has finished uploading, you can choose to delete the photo right away by clicking the "Delete" button. You are unable to delete photos after upload once you leave this page, however. Though future iterations of this site may add this feature. Note: Only registered, logged in users can upload photos to this site.

Viewing Photos

After you have logged in, go to the Photos page. Upon load, this page will list EVERYONE's uploaded photos in the order they were uploaded. You can filter the list to see only photos from a specific registered user. Click on any thumbnail to open a large version of the image with options to make it auto playback.
